Biography
Growing up in a family deeply rooted in the commercial construction and concrete industry, I developed a passion for building and design early on. This foundation ignited my career in construction management, where I honed my skills and expertise.
From 1986 to 1990, I served as the Director of Construction Management at Edward Cantor Company in Philadelphia. During my tenure, I successfully led the construction of 168 condominiums, overseeing every phase of the project, including framing, interior millwork and trim, as well as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical rough installations. My hands-on experience in these critical areas ensured quality craftsmanship and cultivated my ability to manage complex projects efficiently.
I am also a proud Gilded Member of I’On, a neighborhood located in Mount Pleasant, SC. This recognition reflects my commitment to the art of designing and building period- correct homes, a practice that has become increasingly rare.
Additionally, I specialize in building historic replica homes, focusing on the low country design vernacular of Charleston, South Carolina. My work blends traditional architectural elements with modern, user-friendly functionality, creating timeless masterpieces that reflect the region's rich history and cultural essence.

l’On Village
I’On is a neighborhood located in Mt. Pleasant SC, to which I was a gilded designer and builder from 2001 to 2007.
I’On Village is a traditional neighborhood development along the Cooper River that at full build-out will be comprised of six residential boroughs tucked around the soft elbows of lazy creeks and shallow wetlands.
Anchored by I'On Square—the urban village center featuring local shops and offices—the 243-acre site will include over 760 energy-efficient homes constructed in Carolina Lowcountry style and set close to thin streets alongside wide sidewalks and gray-bearded oaks. The community's infrastructure not only supports pedestrians as the primary mode of transit and recreation within the boroughs, it also has real plans for linking to nearby civic facilities, including schools, libraries, and hospitals.
